GOVERNOR OKOROCHA PLAYING ANTI PARTY GAME !.

Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State has dumped the APC, revealing he would be supporting the Democratic Peoples’ Party (DPP), come 2019.

This is coming after his Chief of Staff and son-in-law defected from the All Progressives Congress to the Democratic Peoples’ Party (DPP).

Nwosu, some members of the state House of Assembly, as well as some of Governor Okorocha’s aides have defected.

Their defection is as a result of the fall out of the APC governorship primaries in the state in which Nwosu failed to emerge as the party’s gubernatorial candidate. He said:

“What happened in Imo was a clear case of injustice, where Uche Nwosu won the primary and was robbed of the ticket.

“This injustice must be addressed. However, in spite of the fact that my aides are leaving the party, I am still a member of APC and will not leave the party.

“I tried to persuade them not to leave, but they have made up their minds. I have done what I can to make them remain in the party, they disobeyed me. I don’t have any moral justification to stop them.

“President Buhari is not behind the injustice done by the party in the state but Oshiomhole is solely responsible for all the injustice meted to my people in Imo State.

“For me, I am still a member of APC. Buhari still remains my candidate and I will support him.”

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC has arraigned 22 officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC and a retired INEC director, Ahmed Stephen Ozouche, in Kogi State for offences bordering on criminal conspiracy.
They were arraigned before Justice Alaba Ajileye of the Kogi State High Court, Koton-Karefee.

It was alleged that sometimes in March 2015, the defendants engaged themselves in criminal act of conspiracy to fraudulently obtain the sum of N32, 120,000 (Thirty two Million, One Hundred and Twenty Thousand Naira) only as benefits to themselves during the 2015 general elections.
Prosecuting counsel, G.K. Latona, informed the court that the matter was slated for arraignment. "However, due to the absence of the second defendant, I will be seeking for a short adjournment to enable me determine the next step to take regarding the matter," he said.
The defendant was said to be among the INEC staff that lost their lives in a tragic motor accident that occurred in Kogi recently.
The defence team, however, argued that "the prosecution ought to have known by now that the second defendant cannot be in court to take his plea", and so urged the court to take the plea of the defendants in court. Justice Ajileye, thereafter, ordered those present should take their pleas.
One of the counts reads: "That you Ahmed Stephen Ozovehe, Retired Director with Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC)/ Election Observer, Adison Mailafiya Administrative Secretary INEC Kogi State and Ogwudu Edeh Micheal, Deputy Director, INEC sometime in March 2015 in Lokoja within the Jurisdiction of this Honorable Court did engage yourselves in criminal conspiracy to confer benefit of the sum of N32,120,000 (Thirty two million, one hundred and twenty thousand naira) only from Haliru Haruna, Sase David Z, Dauda Usman Umaru, Christopher Utile, Garba Zubairu Adamu and James Yiyeh all electoral officers of INEC in Kogi State in relation to their function of conducting the General Elections, 2015 and thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 26(1)(i) of the Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offenses Act. 2000 and punishable under Section 10(a)(ii) of the same Act."
They all pleaded "not guilty" when the charge was read to them.
They were afterwards admitted to bail in the sum of N10 million, one surety in like sum, the surety must not be below level 12 and must be a Civil Servant (State or Federal).
Matter has been adjourned to December 6 and 13, 2018 for hearing.
In another development, the EFCC also arraigned Helena Chinelo Odogwu a cash officer at United Bank for Africa, Adankolo Branch Lokoja, before Justice Ajileye on a one-count charge bordering on theft and misappropriation of N8 million ( Eight Million naira) only.
It was alleged by a petitioner that the defendant stole from the vault and misappropriated the said sum of money when she was the cash officer.
In the course of the investigation it was discovered that N8m was missing from the vault and the defendant manipulated the record of the bank to conceal the fraudulent act.
The charge reads: "That you Helena Chinelo Odogwu on or about the 17th day of July, 2018 in Lokoja within the Jurisdiction of this Honourable Court while being the cash officer of Adankolol branch of United Bank of Africa (UBA) Lokoja, stole the sum of Eight Million Naira (N8, 000,000) being money belonging to the United Bank for Africa and thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 286 of the Penal Code Law and punishable under Section 287 of the same Act."
The defendant pleaded "not guilty" to the charge.
The defendant was thereafter admitted to bail in sum of N5m, one surety in like sum; surety must not be below the level of a principal officer.
Matter has been adjourned to December 13th 2018 for hearing.

According to the local District Attorney, Brent Cooper, Danielle is being charged because she never took the baby to the hospital. Authorities found out about the baby's condition when a caretaker sought medical treatment for him two to three days after the sexual assault.

PRINCE DAPO ABIODUN FELICITATES WITH OGUN STUDENTS !.

Prince Dapo Abiodun felicitates with Ogun State students

In consonance with international best practices, it is my utmost pleasure to graciously felicitate with the entire students of Ogun State on this year's edition of the international students' day celebration.

No doubt, education is the hallmark to the development of any nation and it is on this premise that I salute the teeming students of Ogun state origin who are equipping themselves with adequate knowledge to make our dear state greater and more prosperous in the nearest future.

It is of no doubt that we are facing enormous challenges in our education sector but those challenges are summountable if all hands are on deck and proper things are done.

We are determined to salvage this state from its current challenges on education sector and complement on the achievements of the current administration.

If elected, it is within our resolve to rehabilitate all the infrastructural edifices in all the existing schools  and this will largely go a long way in bringing back to life a very conducive environment for learning.

We will not rest on our toes in ensuring an adequate and prompt payment of bursary for our indigenous students both home and abroad.

If there are conducive learning environments we have also resolved to keep an adequate training for our teachers who are the ones that impart and impact knowledge on our students. They will definitely need prompt training and retraining to meet up with international best practices.

Our schools will remain in shambles if we fail to ensure prompt payment of subvention to our tertiary institutions. We will not relent to achieve this.

We shall implement UBE act and ensure provision of free education to the stipulated level in the act.

These and many more are key ingredients of our agenda and it is on this note that I call for the utmost cooperation of all students in moving our dear state forward and building our future together. We cannot do it alone without your supports.

Once again happy International students' day celebration.

God bless you all
God bless Ogun state.
God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Signed
Prince (Dr.) Dapo Abiodun, MFR.

The outgoing governor of Osun, Rauf Aregbesola has said he did not earn salaries throughout the eight years of his administration.

A WOMAN LANDED IN POLICE CUSTODY FOR 5MILLION ALERT! .

How Woman Landed In Police Custody After Getting N5 Million Alert From ‘Good Samaritan’ On Facebook

A woman is now in police custody after receiving a whopping N5 million alert from a supposedly good samaritan.
A police officer has narrated how a woman found herself in trouble after receiving N5 million alert from a good samaritan on Facebook.
The officer, Ogbonnaya Nwota while warning Nigerians to be wary of the new method scammers are now using revealed that a the lady simply identified as Amaka, is currently in police custody after she was involved in a fraud case of N5 million which was paid into her account by a “good Samaritan” from Facebook who later rewarded her with N100,000.
Read below what the detective shared on Facebook:
“She went down on her knees as she was ushered into my office, weeping uncontrollably, she muttered, ‘Officer, please, help me. I need your help. Yes, I acted stupidly, but I didn’t do it’. Having comported herself, I demanded to know her story regarding a case of fraud of N5, 000, 000 (Five Million Naira) I was investigating.

Amaka, 33, tall, elegant, hippy and busty, a young graduate in Owerri, is an active netizen of social media. She belongs to many Facebook groups. On one of the groups, the Admin on a Sunday morning asked members to post their account details, as someone maybe touched to ‘do Sunday’ for them. Different account details flowed ceaselessly on the group’s platform and few confessed how some hitherto unknown persons have credited their accounts.

Amaka got a chat up from someone who promised to send money to her the following day being Monday. The duo chatted for about 15 minutes on Facebook with the man bragging how money wasn’t his problem but a good lady to spend it on. They ended up booking an appointment to see each other the following day since both of them stay in same city.

Both kept to the time of their appointment and in a few minutes, ordered for food in an exquisite eatery where the meeting was taken place. The guy re-emphasized how wealthy a man he is to Amaka and promised to see her more often, when he returns from his intended overseas trip.

The guy was glued to his phone and ipad, pressing them interchangeably and smiling intermittently at no one in particular. As they were about to leave, he told Amaka to expect an alert of N50, 000 from him and while he was paying the bills for their order, Amaka got an alert of N5, 000, 000 (Five Million naira), which she didn’t notice initially was N5, 000, 000 until when the guy asked her to recheck the alert she got, telling her that he mistakenly transferred 5M instead of 50k as promised.

Both headed to the bank in the guy’s car. He told Amaka to withdraw the entire 5M from the bank, pay whatever charges and hand over the cash to him. He as well upgraded Amaka’s cash gift to 100k. Amaka who was already elated dashed into the bank, while the guy sat comfortably in his car outside the bank premises. About 30 minutes later, Amaka was back in the guy’s car and handed over the cash to him, having collected her N100k. She was dropped off few minutes after and she boarded a taxi to her house with indescribable happiness written over her face. What a day she exclaimed as she opened the door to her house. No sex, no request for sex, no touch, no even a hug and she was given N100K. It was simply unbelievable to her.

A week later Amaka was at her bank’s ATM to withdraw some cash, but the card got trapped. She went into the bank to lodge a complaint and possibly retrieve her card, but instead of giving her the card, she was handed over to the Police and that was how she was brought to my office.

Police investigations linked Amaka’s bank account to a sum of Five Million naira moved from a certain company’s account that was hacked into by some fraudsters.

Investigation is ongoing, but until Amaka produces the guy she alleged transferred the said money to her, of course whose Facebook is no longer in existence and phone number inactive and the guy also admits to have made the said transfer to Amaka, Amaka will definitely be contesting her innocence in the court of law, where she will be charged for fraud.

Times are perilous,  my people. The criminals are obviously getting wiser and you must remain vigilant in order not to be tacitly involved in a crime you know nothing about. Secure your account details and report to the Police if you receive any suspicious credit alert.

YOU ARE ALWAYS UNHAPPY WITH BUHARI !.

You were unhappy when Buhari emerged APC Presidential flag bearer 4 years ago.

You are unhappy he had so much supporters.

You are unhappy he returned back to the country healthy.

You are unhappy others are yet to be disappointed in him.

You are unhappy others did not withdraw their support for him as you did.

You are unhappy WAEC issued him attestation to his results.

You are unhappy Tinubu has not helped left him.

You are unhappy his base of masses are still intact.

You were unhappy there were no younger alternatives....boom shaka shaka...over 30 younger and intelligent presidential candidates emerged yet, you remained unhappy.

You are unhappy with the numerous infrastructural projects, claiming people are hungry. Forgetting how food is being put on the tables of thousands through employment.

You are still unhappy about N30k to Npower...angry about tradermoni, angry about conditional cash transfer.

You are still unhappy about pension payments that were overdue over 15 years ago.

You were unhappy that he was too old....well until your own old man too emerged....lol.

So many more things you are unhappy about that cannot be fully enumerated.

You see why we cannot connect? You are a generator of unhappiness. Let each find their equally feathered birds.

FIVE PDP ASSEMBLY ASPIRANTS SET TO DUMP THE PART IN OTA !

Five PDP Assembly Aspirants Set To Dump P

As the 2019 election draws nearer, all is not yet  settled within  the PDP at both the State and Local level.

Five notable aspirants, namely Hon Ojugbele of Ilogbo Ward, Hon Adeyemi of Ijoko Ward, Hon Bankole of Ward 2, Hon Olanrewaju of Ijoko Ward and Hon Oyede of Iju Ward, all of the PDP LADO Caucus of Ota State Constituency have perfected plans to dump the party with thousands of their supporters for several reasons, some of which are highlighted below:

1. Lack of cohesion between the party leadership at the Constituency and Local Government level due to ego and superiority contest.

2. Lack of recognition of efforts & contribution of these aspirants to progress of the party.

3. Nonchalant attitude of the candidates of the party for the Houses of Assembly and Representative and lack of team work.

4. Hijack of the party structure by a group known as “Concerned Forum” making other organs of the party irrelevant.

These and many more are reasons why these aspirants believe their presence within the party is no longer relevant and may likely pull out of the party sooner or later according to our sources.

Senate adjourns for one week over low turnout of lawmakers
Moments ago, the Senate adjourned for a week following its inability to form a quorum. The chamber needs at least 38 senators to carry out legislative activities at plenary but only 20 members were seated at the commencement of the day’s session.

The Minority Whip, Senator Phillip Aduda, who moved the motion for the adjournment, citing order 10 (3) of the Senate rules, explained that most of the members were not at plenary because they went on oversight functions.

The Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, seconded the motion for the adjournment, stressing that the order cited by Aduda, barred the Senate from carrying out any legislative duties if members are not up to 38. Then President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki put the motion to a vote and members overwhelmingly backed it.

Senate Leader, Ahmad Lawan, thereafter moved for the adjournment till Tuesday, November 20.

LASU FINAL YEAR STUDENT IS BEST BIZ PITCH WINNER AT RSW 3.0 GRADUATION

Lagos State University was in the news again for all the right reasons as a Department of English, Faculty of Arts Final Year Student, Miss Vivian Afolayan emerged the best business pitch winner at the Ready Set Work 3.0 Graduation Ceremony on Tuesday, 30th October at the Landmark Event Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos.  The Governor of the State, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode was the special guest. The audience included the Vice Chancellor, Lagos State University, Professor ‘Lanre Fagbohun.

Afolayan, with her “Glow Palace” beauty cream beat Popoola of “Eko Laundry” and another LASU student, Mariam Adeniyi “Snail Factory” to the second and third places respectively.
For her effort, Vivian went home with N1.5million Naira, another N300,000 (N100,000 each) for three (3) months as seed funding plus additional N5million Naira announced by the Governor.  While Popoola “Eko Laundry” got N1million, another N300,000 (N100,000 each) for three (3) months, plus N3million from the Governor and Mariam “Snail Factory” got N750,000, another N300,000 (N100,000 each) for three (3) months, plus N2million from the Governor.

Governor Akinwunmi Ambode in his remarks, praised the graduating participants, thanked the partnering corporate companies and lauded the facilitators, who nurtured the students for thirteen (13) whole weekends (Saturdays).  The Governor didn’t leave out the heads of the eight (8) participating institutions for their support.
“I feel so excited, I got this right.  I have made a difference.  This is not about bridges or flyovers, it is not about hospitals. I feel so excited I got this right.  It is about investing in human capital, the youth and the future.  Programmes like Ready Set Work, Code Lagos and the Employment Trust Fund must not be allowed to die,” he added.

Also, the Special Adviser on Education, Mr. Obafela Bank-Olemoh, in his address, described the RSW students as the best in the history of the country.  He opined that the initiative was borne out of the need to prepare participants for the world of work after graduation  He was optimistic the investment on the participants would not only have impact on the State, but the Country as well.  He was full of appreciation to the facilitators and supporting corporate bodies.

In his remarks, on behalf of the Heads of the eight (8) participating tertiary institutions, the Vice Chancellor, Lagos State University, Prof. ‘Lanre Fagbohun applauded Governor Ambode and the State Government for initiating such a life changing programme that has far reaching impact on the participants.
He urged the graduands to make good use of all they learnt during the thirteen (13) week training and apply it to the world of work, especially in making the society better.  He stated that Ready Set Work is the answer to the complaints that Nigerian graduates were unemployable by Nigerian employers of Labour.  “Congratulations RSW 3.0 scholars.  Today is your day.  Today is another moment in history, when those who are active participants in the spotlight initiative codenamed RSW have every cause to be proud of their achievements”

The Vice Chancellor, also stated that “Beyond the paper certificate, the legitimate expectation is that the tertiary institution graduates should be able to demonstrate basic understanding of the global economy, politics and relevant human nature relationships.  In essence, beyond his or her understanding of the areas of study and specialization, a graduate must be able to bring new ideas to the work place to solve problems in a dynamic manner with the deployment of ICT tools.

Beyond the rhetoric of unending doubts and suspicion of whether our graduates can ever measure up to standard and the apocalyptic vision of mental roentgen and intellectual appeal for Nigeria, the Lagos State Government under His Excellency, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode has used the last three (3) years of unbroken succession of RSW to begin a retraction and transformation of the great spectre of yester years.  RSW has inspired change”, he ended.

The Vice Chancellor, University of Lagos, Prof. Oluwatoyin Ogundipe administered the Oath of Honour on the graduating Ready Set Work 3.0 participants.  The Ready Set Work 3.0, 2018, on employability and Entrepreneurship initiative of the Lagos State had eight (8) tertiary institutions taking part, namely: Lagos State University (LASU), University of Lagos (UNILAG), Lagos State Polytechnic (LASPOTECH), Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH), Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education (AOCOED), Michael Otedola College of Primary Education (MOCPED), Lagos State College of Health Technology (LASCOHET) and a Private University, CALEB.
